Q1. Give me a brief about yourself and how did you first get into Food Blogging?

Ans : I am Parul Gupta. I was a foodie since my childhood. I use to explore different places and experiment with different food items. So I thought of combining my love for food and social media, which led to the creation of this page, “Kraviings”. I started this page in mid-2018 but I was not much active then, I started doing this actively in late 2019 and mostly since lockdown. My page is all about my food explorations, experience and easy recipes. I try to bring in limelight every aspect of dining whether it is from affluent restaurants, street food or homemade food.

Q2. Can you tell me some of your strengths that really helped you in blogging?

Ans : My consistency and patience with my content. I don’t rush with the trends instead I create the trend in my own way. As I really enjoy creating videos and taking pictures I try to bring my own way in all my pictures and video that I create.

Q3. What do you do to enhance follower engagement on Instagram?

Ans : I try to be as responsive I can be to them whether in the DM or in the comment section. I interact with my followers and suggest them to try out new places. I also take their inputs for making new recipes or trying out new places.

Q4. What else do you work on apart from running your Food Blog??

Ans : I work as a cyber-security analyst

Q5. How do you manage time to run your blog efficiently?

Ans : I really love creating content and so whenever I get sometime in a day I focus on creating content. Also I take some time out over weekends to create a bunch of content to help me with the week.


Q6. Tell me about your proudest achievement?

Ans : I believe my biggest achievement is the love I get from all my followers over DM, in comments and in person. The love I receive from everyone is immense and I consider this as my biggest achievement.

Q7. What was the challenging moment in your journey and what did you learn from that?

Ans : Managing my time in between my page and my full time job was a big task earlier. But now with time I know how to manage both. Also there are times when the content I make doesn’t get enough reach due to Instagram algorithm and it’s a highly demotivating factor. But I try not to give up and be consistent.

Q8. What inspired you to get into the food space?

Ans : My love for both food and social media got me into this space.

Q9. What piece of advice would you want to give to the upcoming food influencers?

Ans : Do whatever your heart wants and give it your best without considering about “log kya kahenge! Kyuki kuch toh log kahenge, logo ka kaam hai kehna”. Pay no heed to negative comments, believe me there will be many, try to focus on positive things. This will surely get you closer to your goal. Also a tip that start creating quality content, new experiments on food, engaging with your audience to know what they want.
