BE UPBEAT AND POSITIVE WITH SIDDHI PATNE
Model and actress Siddhi Patne of Govyacha Kinaryavar fame shares her journey in the world of glamour with us in an exclusive interview.
Q1. How did you get started with acting and modeling?
Ans: Actually after 10th standard, I started participating in different cultural activities. I realised that my interest in this field is growing. Last year I did one movie and my career kickstarted.
Q2. How has been your journey?
Ans: I had struggled a lot because my parents were not allowing me to pursue this profession. But eventually I got their permission. I participated in a college level youth festival cultural programme and from there I got selected at national level and got a good platform. I have done my MBA and was selected for campus interview. I landed in Mumbai and started my career again.
Q3. How was your experience with your co-actors and team on the set?
Ans: All of my co-actors were very good. It was a great experience and everything was good without any tension. I was a little nervous about facing the camera for the first time. Last year when I got the movie Chandri , the whole team came to my home and convinced my parents to let me take it up.
Q4. What, according to you, is the best thing to always keep with yourself for this career?
Ans: Patience and motivation are the two things that you always have to keep with yourself. Because nothing is stable in this field. You have to be very strong and face each and every problem.
Q5. What would you suggest to upcoming new actors who are struggling in this profession?
Ans: I am also struggling and everyone is struggling in their own phases. Keep rehearsing, give more and more auditions, be strong and patient.
Q6. What impressed you to do the role of Goddess Parvati?
Ans: This role required a lot of detailed study to reach the exact level. I had auditioned for this role with a costume. After three months, I finally got this role finalised.
Q7. What’s your opinion about the pandemic situation?
Ans: This is quite a different phase and we don’t know when it will get over. But we have to face each and every situation strongly and positively. Pray and hope for the best so that this period will get winded up early.
Q8. What are you doing in this quarantine period to stay fit?
Ans: I do morning workouts, eat healthy food and stay safe, fit, at home and happy.
Q9. Who is the main support system for you?
Ans: My parents are my main support system. My mother supported me since childhood, taking me to dance classes.
Q10. If you got a chance in Bollywood, which actor or actress would you wish to work with?
Ans: Deepika Padukone, Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt and Hrithik Roshan. I love to work with all of them.
Q11. Which is your favourite Marathi and Bollywood movie?
Ans: Ashi Hi Banva Banvi, Mitwa, and Duniyadari in Marathi and Jane Tu Ya Jaane Na and Kahaani in Hindi.
Q12. How can we maintain both cultural and western fashion sense?
Ans: Wear whatever you like, but carry it comfortably.
Q13. What do you like most – Indian wear or western wear?
Ans: It depends where I am going. If I am going out to the mall with friends then I will prefer western and, of course, if I am going to a temple, I will prefer Indian. I love all styles of clothing.
