ALL ABOUT STEPPING INTO THE GLAM INDUSTRY WITH SRITI SHAW VERSATILE

- Born and brought up in Kolkata, Sriti Shaw is currently residing in Dubai as an entrepreneur. She has also been the 2nd runner up in Miss West Bengal 2021, 2nd runners up Miss fab India 2021, Queen of India winner skytouch foundations, 1st runners up Miss India-Women of Dignity 2021.


The path towards a successful career in the glamour industry isn’t full of petals but one shall find thorns too. To throw some light on the same, Sriti Shaw is discussing her inception in this industry, challenges she faced and the lessons she learnt. 

Q1. How did you get into acting ?

Ans: I always had a passion for acting since childhood. I used to participate in dramas and fashion shows held in our school and college. I have participated in lots of inter school competitions and stage shows; so that is how I developed interest into acting.

Q2. What is the best part about being in the glam industry ?

Ans: It makes you feel confident. Secondly, learning experience is always a good idea being around with the same industry people. Lastly, This industry gives you ‘Recognition’ for sure, so yes.

Q3. How do you take care of your Skin and Hair ?

Ans: Well, I primarily focus on my diet regime, sleeping patterns and adequate intake of water to keep well hydrated all day long. Along with that, I have a set of day care, night care and weekly care routines with some Ayurveda based products.

Q4. Which project are you working on currently ?

Ans: Currently, I am working on some Punjabi Music Videos which are set to release in near future. One is with Sajid Wajid which will be my debut Bollywood song as well, another Punjabi song with Virendra Viki. Along with that a daily soap shoot is set to begin which is slightly delayed due to COVID situation. Also, looking forward to a Bollywood debut.

Q5. What is the best part about your work ?

Ans: That it keeps me busy and involved.



Q6. How do you react when you receive a negative review about your performance ?

Ans: Well, I have not received any such comments, but I am preparing myself for that. Being in this industry, people will praise and criticize you, so I will surely assess the criticism and try to rectify it if found worthwhile. Try not repeating the same mistake, learn from it and move ahead.

Q7. Are you happy with the way things are shaping up for you in the industry ? What changes would you like to make ?

Ans: Yes, I am happy, but this is just a beginning, a long road lies ahead for me. I particularly do not want to bring any changes, I am focused on my work and constantly strive to give my one hundred percent to reach my goal.

Q8. Where do you see yourself five years from now ?

Ans. I see myself as a well-polished and successful woman, who has some involvement in the social activities for underprivileged human beings.

Q9. How do you unwind after a hard day at work ?

Ans. By watching a movie, talking to mum or friends.

Q10. What lessons have you learned from struggling in this industry ?

Ans. 1. Trust yourself 2. Networking is very important 3. Maintain a healthy relationship with peers 4. Jo dikhta hai, woh bikta hai (LOL) 5. Not repeating the mistakes.
