RUNWAY HEIST 2020 : A SHOW TO CELEBRATE POST PANDEMIC FASHION

When the novel Coronavirus hit the globe and people were trying to cope with their emotional and professional stress, RUNWAY HEIST 2020 emerged as a refreshing change, promising to not only transform people’s perceptions of fashion but also to give an experience unlike any other. Runway Heist isn’t just a fashion show; it’s an extraordinary concept in which the show is held in unusual locations, that are unexplored, unseen beautiful luxurious places in the middle of nature, with the aim of fusing nature and glamour, which proved to be a successful concept because people had never seen anything like it before. Pooja Singh, an excellent fashion director and choreographer, planned and conceptualised the fashion show.

All of the participants were screened and trained via the internet through video conference. The response to this innovative concept was overwhelming, with participants hailing from all over the world, including Spain, Muscat, Iran, Russia, Canada, and Turkey. Piya Pawani, Sophia Abid, Deli Merziah, Santi Ferrer, Rujilin Lanjob, Asutosh Walia, and Farhana Afrin were among the international faces who represented ‘Runway Heist 2020’ on an international stage.

Participants were divided into groups of Kids, Teens, Misters, Miss, and Mrs. The total number of people that signed up for this unique fashion event was 58. The whole fashion show was also shot, recreated, and re-edited before being streamed live. With over 7000 views on live streaming, the concert was a great success.

Mrunali Tayade coordinated the event, which was hosted by the stunning Farha Anwar. Neha Chauhan organised the photo shoot for the participants. The event was sponsored by Diva Pageants, which is well-known for its unmatched excellence in Misses pageants both nationally and internationally. The proud Founders and Directors of Diva Pageants are Karl and Anjana Mascarenhas.
