Q1. What motivated you to transition from Bengali cinema to Hindi films?
Ans – My dream is always to see myself in big scale of medium . I want bigger audience. This is one of the reason I prefer to do Hindi language films.
Q2. How was your experience working on Zee Music’s Dilbar and Kanika Kapoor’s Pretty Girl?
Ans – definitely those music videos helped me to work here in Bollywood. Working with top most music labels on the starting of my Bollywood journey motivates me to dream big and work hard . Both are very successful songs . The main thing is both are very different from each other.
Q3. What challenges did you face in your early acting career in Bengali cinema?
Ans – I got my first film after winning miss kolkata beauty pageant. That film was huge hit. Though After that film I struggled a lot to get my 2nd film .
Q4. You’ve worked in multiple regional films. How do you feel Hindi cinema differs from Bengali cinema?
Ans – Bengali is my mother language. Bengal is my home town . More or less people knows me there . Definitely there I have comfort zone. But here in Hindi film industry every day is challenging, starting from knowing the language to correct pronunciations, meeting with different kind of people every day , audition for every single work , it’s really tough, and challenging. But I liked it. And it make me more confident and engaging throughout the process.
Q5. How did you overcome the pressures of fame and depression after your first film?
Ans – During my bengali film journey I never feel depressed because I don’t have time to feel free and thinking about something bad . Because I was busy in studying .but here in mumbai I feel low sometimes because after doing so many films in other languages ( bengali , Oriya, south ) I have to proof myself every day to get work in Hindi .
Q6. Why did you pursue a degree in law despite your acting career?
Ans – I love to read books and law is something which is very interesting and engaging. I Pursued law degree just to strengthen my inner me .
Q7. What type of roles are you looking forward to in Bollywood?
Ans – I m looking forward to play meaningful role who drives the story , and audition should remember the performance.
Q8. Deepika Padukone is one of your role models. What do you admire most about her?
Ans – She played every character very well, right from cocktail to Padmavat, I want to follow her path to choose roles. I think I’ve those qualities and energy what she has . We share the same fitness studio, I met her personally very often, she is hard working, and I love that .
Q9. How do you plan to carve your own identity in Bollywood?
Ans – I already started to create my identity here in Bollywood. Choosing a good role and good work definitely helps me to create my identity in future.
Q10. What has been your biggest learning experience in the film industry so far?
Ans – keep patience, don’t carry ur baggage, keep learning every day , it’s never too late to learn anything, don’t lose hope, stay happy and positive , don’t hesitate to ask for work it’s ur right.
